Congratulations to our Welfare Fraud Investigators

Great work by our members in the San Bernardino County Welfare Fraud Special Investigations Unit who recently conducted a criminal EBT fraud case against the owners of a local market in Barstow.

Last week the owners pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit fraud. They were ordered to pay full restitution of $684K, including over $58K in seized monies, back to the County of San Bernardino.

As a result of their diligent work this is the single, largest welfare fraud case adjudicated in San Bernardino County.
