On April 17, 2025, we gathered to say goodbye to a son, a husband, a father, a friend, and a hero.

Deputy Hector Cuevas Jr.'s End of Watch came on March 17, 2025, after a tragic accident while answering the call of duty. He gave his life in service—selflessly, courageously, and with a heart full of purpose.

Today, we don’t cry from weakness. We cry because we loved him. Because he mattered. Because there will never be another Hector. No one can replace the way he loved his family, served his community, or carried himself with honor.

To Hector’s family—his wife, his children, his parents—we are holding you in our hearts. And to his fellow partners and friends, we rise not just in memory, but in mission. We honor his life by choosing courage over silence, unity over division, and service over self.
