Everyday Hero: Alaina Mathews
Alaina Mathews wants to do more when it comes to raising awareness about breast cancer in the Inland Empire, and for her efforts, she is our EVERYDAY HERO. This year there will be nearly 2,300 women diagnosed with breast cancer in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. With the help of Susan G. Komen Inland Empire, Alaina is trying to reduce the current number of breast cancer deaths. So far, she has raised over $36,000 to help provide mammograms for uninsured women. To further her cause, on March 17, she hosted a “No One Fights Alone” event at Xfit & Combat Sports. Guest speakers included two amazing warriors… Alaina’s niece Melonie Calderon and friend Marisol Inzunza. It was an honor to film the event and support Alaina Mathews, who is clearly making a positive impact in our community. Thank you for all you do to help #fightcancer.
