Everyday Hero - Freddy Aguilar

We met Freddy at our Shop With A Cop Christmas event last month and he is a remarkable young boy. You wouldn’t know it by looking at him or talking to him, but Freddy suffers from HLA-B27. It is a rare, incurable autoimmune disease, which attacks the soft tissue and cartilage and causes pain and damage to the joints, tendons, ligaments and eyes.

Freddy is currently working with the great doctors over at Loma Linda University, and he is surrounded by a loving family who supports him. Freddy just started his own Instagram page (thekid_freddy) and YouTube Channel, and he plans on using it to share his story. He wants other children going through similar circumstances to know they are not alone.
