Titled "Manage the Distance," this captivating film delves into the unexpected connection between law enforcement and martial arts, focusing on how Jiu Jitsu can serve as a crucial tool for Sheriff's Deputies in San Bernardino County.

At the heart of the film is a three-day intensive training course organized by the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department and the Sheriff's Athletic Foundation. The course, led by seasoned instructors Sergeant Jerred Besheer and Deputies Caroline Norat and Daniel Salcedo, offers deputies much more than just physical training. It’s an exploration of the principles of honor, pride, and dedication that define their service.

Through the lens of martial arts, the film emphasizes the importance of maintaining composure and control in high-pressure situations, a skill set that not only enhances deputies’ safety but also positively impacts the communities they serve. Through Jiu Jitsu you start growing as a person who is able to display self-control and meet adversity and not always meet force with force. You learn how to think, think under stress.
