Marine Enforcement Unit | Short Documentary

A few months ago, we had the privilege of spending four days with our dedicated members assigned to the Marine Enforcement Unit at the Colorado River Station. Our time there was spent capturing the day-to-day operations of these committed professionals, whose responsibilities include patrolling the Colorado River from the Nevada State line to the Riverside County line. Their unwavering dedication and expertise play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of everyone on these busy waterways.

The core mission of the Marine Enforcement Unit is to educate the boating public on the importance of safe and sober operation. Through consistent outreach and enforcement efforts, they have significantly contributed to a decrease in boating under the influence (BUI) arrests and a reduction in fatal boating accidents in recent years. Their proactive approach not only protects lives but also fosters a culture of responsibility and awareness among boaters, making the Colorado River a safer place for all.

The professionalism and commitment of the Marine Enforcement Unit are a testament to the high standards upheld by our members. As we continue to document their vital work, we are reminded of the profound impact they have on our communities, ensuring that the Colorado River remains a place of enjoyment and safety for everyone who visits.
