SEBA BOARD OF DIRECTORS ELECTIONS
COMMITMENT AND EXPECTATIONS
The position of SEBA's Board of Directors is voluntary and requires good communication and leadership skills. You would be directly involved with the decision making process that affects you, your station, working conditions, benefits and wages. A station director is the voice of his or her station and serves as a liaison between SEBA and its members. Communications regarding members' concerns would be voiced through the director and conversely, the Board Director is responsible to report back to the membership of his or her station/division regarding SEBA business, events, elections, negotiation updates, political activity and news, as needed.
Members of the Board of Directors are expected to attend one Board meeting per month, which is generally held on the first Wednesday of each month at noon. Directors may also be chosen for training, conferences and events depending on their level of involvement in SEBA business and events.
YOU WILL NOT BE EXPECTED TO REPRESENT OTHER MEMBERS IN LABOR DISPUTES OR DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS. Your responsibility will be to direct them to SEBA as soon as possible for representation.
The Executive Board and Station Directors serve a two-year term.
