On Thursday, January 9, 2025, SEBA emailed each member from the Safety and Safety Management groups the following message, along with a survey relevant to their respective groups. The Specialized Peace Officer (SPO) Unit approved the proposed contract extension by 59% with 71% of the member ballots received.
To be clear, all COLAs, longevity pay, deferred comp, retirement medical trust (RMT), medical premium subsidies (MPS), COVID pay, Juneteenth holiday and seed money for a SEBA Medical Trust apply to all members in the SPO and SPOS bargaining units.
In addition, the new top steps apply to PCS I and PCS II as well.
SEBA has reached a tentative agreement with the County on an extension of the current SPO/SPOS MOU to be voted on by members.
In order to ensure an informed vote, SEBA has launched an informational video from SEBA President Grant Ward and a chart to explain the proposed contract extension.
Your SEBA Specialized Fire Services (SFS) Negotiations team met last week to discuss details of initiating formal negotiations with the County in order to secure COVID premium pay and possibly enhancing the existing MOU to provide future stability.
Your SEBA Specialized Peace Officer (SPO) Negotiations team met last week to discuss details of initiating formal negotiations with the County in order to secure COVID premium pay and possibly enhancing the existing MOU to provide future stability.
As part of the recent contract enhancement, the County agreed to provide “COVID-19 Premium Pay” in the amount of $1,800 per member who has been (and remains) employed by the County since April 9, 2022.
The SEBA Safety & Safety Management Negotiations Team has reached a tentative agreement with the County on the terms of a contract extension to be voted on by members.
